Growing Veggies
Many people think that growing vegetables takes a lot of time, but it doesn’t have to!
Short-Term Veggies
Some veggies don’t take a long time to grow and can be harvested fairly quickly. Here are some examples:
- Radishes: Radishes can be harvested as soon as they have reached the size of a marble. This typically takes around 25 days;
- Arugula: Arugula can reach full size in around 30 days;
- Spinach: Spinach can reach full size in around 40 days.
Long-Term Veggies
In contrast, some veggies can take much longer to reach full size. Here are some examples:
- Carrots: Carrots take around two months to grow to full size;
- Cucumbers: Cucumbers take around three months to reach full size;
- Tomatoes: Tomatoes can take around four months to reach full size.
So, as you can see, growing veggies can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months depending on the type of vegetable. With patience and commitment, you can have your own vegetable garden in no time!
