Making Vegetable Egg Rolls in an Air Fryer
Vegetable egg rolls are an excellent party food as they are simple and delicious, as well as being easy to make. You can make them in an air fryer — a very popular kitchen appliance which produces outstanding results at a much lower temperature than traditional deep-frying.
The Prep Work
Before cooking your egg rolls, you’ll need to prepare the ingredients. Here is what you will need:
- Vegetables of your choice, such as carrots, mushrooms, and cabbage.
- An egg roll wrapper.
- Egg wash (mix 1 egg with 1 tablespoon of water).
- Oil (optional).
Once you have gathered your ingredients, it’s time to prep the vegetables. Wash them, peel them (if necessary) and chop them into small pieces.
Cooking the Egg Rolls
Once the vegetables are ready, you can start assembling the egg rolls. Place a piece of the wrapper flat on a surface, add the vegetables and then brush the edges with the egg wash to help seal the egg roll when folded. Once the egg roll is folded up, place it in the air fryer and set the temperature to 350°F.
Cook Time
It will take about 8-10 minutes for your vegetable egg rolls to cook in an air fryer. To ensure that the rolls are fully cooked, you should check them after 8 minutes and flip them over to ensure even cooking.
Once your egg rolls are cooked, they are ready to be served! Enjoy.
